Cheer Starz has opened a brand-new sensory room designed for children and adults with additional needs. The facility is self-contained, featuring a private entrance and dedicated welfare facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. The room is equipped with a wide range of specialised sensory tools, each catering to different sensory needs and supporting various aspects of development, regulation, and engagement.

How the Equipment Supports Additional Needs:

  • Light and Sound Panels – Provide visual and auditory stimulation to support sensory integration, helping individuals who may be under-responsive or over-responsive to sensory input.

  • Dark Room – Offers a calming, low-stimulation space for individuals who may become overwhelmed by bright lights and noise, aiding self-regulation.

  • Sensory Swing – Supports vestibular regulation, helping with balance, coordination, and calming overstimulated nervous systems.

  • Peanut Balls – Encourage movement and core strength development while aiding proprioceptive input for body awareness and muscle tone.

  • Water Bed – Provides gentle, soothing movement and deep pressure stimulation to help with relaxation and body awareness.

  • Fibre Optic Tails – Offer visual and tactile stimulation, promoting focus, engagement, and relaxation.​
